About me

Anne IhnenI have a Master’s degree in Psychology from Antioch University. My degree program had a strong multicultural emphasis and focused on mental health counseling and psychotherapy for individual adults. I opened my private practice soon after graduating and have experience working with people facing a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life changes, trauma, and chemical dependency. I am a licensed mental health counselor with the State of Washington (#LH00010936), as well as a National Certified Counselor (#227880). I'm a member of the Seattle Counselors Association and the goodtherapy.org online community.

In addition to my work as a therapist, I facilitate a support group for adult children of people who have Alzheimer's disease, and I teach classes at Antioch University Seattle as an adjunct faculty member.

Good Therapy MemberI practice vipassana meditation and have a special interest in integrating mindfulness practices and psychotherapy. I am also the co-author (with Carolyn Flynn) of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Mindfulness.
