My post-graduate training includes seminars and classes on a variety of topics, including trauma, clinical applications of mindfulness, neurobiology, attachment theory, clinical supervision, and a year-long training program in Gestalt couples therapy. I am a licensed mental health counselor with the State of Washington (#LH00010936), as well as a National Certified Counselor (#227880). I'm a member of the Seattle Counselors Association and the goodtherapy.org online community. In addition to my work as a therapist, I facilitate a support group for adult children of people who have Alzheimer's disease, and I teach classes at Antioch University Seattle as an adjunct faculty member. I practice vipassana meditation and have a special interest in integrating mindfulness practices and psychotherapy. I am also the co-author (with Carolyn Flynn) of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Mindfulness. ![]()
